You've read and heard about the recent controversy surrounding Virginia Beach's current animal shelter.
From deteriorating conditions and the outbreak of Parvo virus that kept the shelter closed for five weeks and led to the death of 126 dogs, to proposals for a new facility that could cost as much as $20 million, learn about the current status of the shelter and the options being considered for replacement.
Representatives from the City of Virginia Beach and the nonprofit group Friends of Virginia Beach Animal Control have been invited to participate.
